You know its Fashions night out when you see people all glammed up waiting in a long queue trying to get into their favorite designer shops. Shops having extravagant window displays catching the crowds eye from the corner of the street. Everything of course has to be over the top. There’s this whole different vibe, people everywhere tweeting or facebooking trying to find the next destination to go, the next celebrity to follow. It definitely was a chaotic but captivating event. I was at Soho during FNO visiting the few places I could make it with my friends. We made our way to Kate Spade, and later searching for the teen vogue party which ended by the time we found it! Just so you know it was 9pm. Frustrated with the entire walk and no gain we then made our way to Marc Jacobs. It was quite obvious that there was some celebrity at Marc Jacob's shop because the crowd was only growing by the minute.
We stood too and the next thing we know there is a girl screaming, “OMG! its Jimmy Fallon”. He was walking from the right hand side and as soon as he got noticed the flashes went on and everyone went hysterical. I ended up witnessing this on and off all night, so much that I got immune to it. On our way to the next stop we found out Kanye was at one of the stores. We ended up getting stuck in the middle of a huge crowd, getting swayed from all the pushing and pulling. Heidi Klum showed up but there was no sign of Kanye. I don’t know how those people had the patience to stand in anticipation that long because I knew I had to get out! Tired from all the walking and pushing I made my way home on the subway realizing that most of the people on the train with me most likely went to FNO event too. Seems like the public craves for it, can't escape from it since fashion never dies.
